President Rodrigo Duterte has marked into law a measure annulling the join ridden Road Board. Duterte marked "An Act Abolishing the Road Board and accommodating the attitude of the Motor Vehicle User's Charge Collections" or Republic Act 11239 on the 8th of March yet was discharged to the media just on Tuesday.

Under the new law, MVUC will be "dispatched to the National Treasury under a unique record in the General Fund". The new law expressed "all monies gathered under this Act will be dispatched to the National Treasury under an exceptional record in the General Fund to be reserved exclusively for the development, overhauling, fix, and recovery of streets, scaffolds, and street seepage to be incorporated into the yearly General Appropriations Act".

The President had before required the abrogation of the Road Board, saying it was 'only a storehouse of cash and for defilement'. The new law ordered the secretaries of spending plan, open works and transportation to create the actualizing guidelines and guidelines on the portion of the MVUC.

The law additionally made a Congressional Oversight Committee, made out of 5 individuals each from the House of Representatives and the Senate, to screen the assets.
