'We did it' as per Karen Gallman expression on Monday in winning Miss Intercontinental, the first crown won by a Philippine representative in the said pageant.

On Instagram, she said her triumph a weekend ago isn't only for herself, yet for the whole country. She said "I'm so glad to bring our country its first Intercontinental crown. The staggering help from all of you has been astonishing and I can't thank all of you enough, nor have done it without you".

She included "this crown isn't only for me, it's for every one of you and --- it's --- a portrayal of what we can accomplish as a country".

The 26-year-old belle of the ball proceeded to urge her kindred Filipinos to "be simply the best form by continually admiring God and being grateful for everything". With her Miss Intercontinental win, Gallman finished one of the longest dry spells in a global show for the Philippines.


She is relied upon to keep pushing for better instruction for poor children living in rustic territories amid her rule.
