For a total of 9,830 examinees, 2,843 have passed the May 2018 Certified Public Accountant (CPA) licensure examination given by the Professional Regulation Commission (PRC) Board of Accountancy (BoA). The aftereffects of the half-yearly examination were discharged 5 working days after the most recent day of the exams hung on May the 13th, 20th, and 21st.

It was noticed that the 28.92% general passing rate for the May 2018 examination was 1.53% lower than the October 2017 exams, which had a 35.13% general passing rate. As per the PRC Board, the most reduced passing rate over the most recent four years was recorded in July 2014 with 19.98% (out of 5,540 examinees, 1,107 passed) and the most elevated in May 2016 at 42.84 percent (out of 6,925 examinees, 2,967 passed).

A student from Saint Paul School of Professional Studies-Palo in Leyte, Jayson Ong Chan, was the May 2018 top-notcher with a total percentage of 92.50 rating. His classmate Jomari Jess Sacendoncillo Abellar positioned second with a 91.67 percent rating.

De La Salle University (Manila) was the most elevated performing school with a precentage of 90.11 passing rate, trailed by University of San Carlos having 83.72 percent.
